For some of us girls times are changing.

Shel, I've always said that you have one of the biggest hearts I've ever known.
But with the very same conviction you have a fierce sense of self worth and NO
ONE is going to take that away from you! Good for you, sweets! Your strength of
character is one in which to be envious of. Fantastic write hun. (Still got that club? :P)

There aren't too many men that I know who can talk for hours..........which is almost certainly a bad thing, we don't communicate so well

I like to see women more assertive of their worth, so I loved seeing this piece.

Patriarchy has been a disaster forever. It's past time for some real change.

Too much potential is being wasted because of stupid prejudices. Too much is lost in maintaining the status quo.

I said it long ago. I don't have to be black or gay or a woman or any of a hundred other oppressed groups to understand how damaging bigotry and intolerance is.

You're right. You have nothing to prove. Simply by virtue of being human you deserve all the respect according to any other human. That's the way it ought to be.
