Hollow building shells fragile to the touch of man scream crack crumble
Negative framed paintings of old friends faces
Cases of murky bottles with pressure unstable
Pretend champagne victories of another *****up
Hiccup love drunk from breathing the mist of mary’s bloodied halo
We’re all used goods cremate the new model and lets dance on its ashes
Under acid rain hollering at the great Molotov in the sky
Just waiting for a light
Ignite and good night
Fight the good fight and do what you think is write
There’ll always be a rusty iron wrecking ball waiting to dislodge the cornerstone
I strike with little known reason
Razor edged words sing sharp songs in others ears
Standing beached on the other side
Yelling, that the floods over and theres still hope
Im a dope I know please swim over I promise Ill throw u that rope
Switchback tears run trails up moist red cheeks
Swallow my tounge and stitch my lips
Don’t know when I might speak or slip you a kiss
Scars have seen my worst days
Whisper from experience that the best defense is a good offense
On the fence holding onto divided ends
Until the sky opens it’s a new day
Scolded by the scalding sun I make amends
Funny how I’m always forgiven

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
