Her youthful blue eyes can stare a thousand yards
They have seen their fair share
She has stitches in her heart
Wounded but not yet broken
Soft spoken I can hear strength in her voice
Though she may not admit it at first
She wants to make it
Ive seen her build walls
With every brick its harder to see her face
No intentions to be trapped
She makes sure that only the people with strong hearts and open heads
Can climb over
I want to show her
Its hard when I see a diamond say it’s coal
One day she will rediscover soul
And fly on sturdy wings
Tempered with tough love and hard knocks
Over the rest of us

"Though she may not admit it at first
She wants to make it."
What a lovely way to convey her hidden strength.
The whole write is simply lovely.
