But not in his ideas
He has a beautiful mind
Just like his heart
I feel I could look at him
From dawn 'till dusk and back again
What else is there to say about his ongoing vibrance
The only thing left unsaid
Is that God made him with care
His smile, it's amazing
And when it's set on his face
It's breathtaking
He's not a person to speak his feelings
So whenever we talk
I hear the mystery in his voice
And I can't help but wonder
What could wound his brilliant soul?

Behind his given gifts, he's a person playing hide-and-seek with anyone but her.
Behind the expanse of his hazel eyes, there's so much pain, but it's never expressed by him.
There are times we talk and I lose sight of our conversation just to think about his mystery.
At times he makes me feel like a part of him: there, but removed.
He gets lost in his own thoughts.
Won't he ever share what he feels with me?
Can't he point at me over her and say 'she's the one?'
I can't help but wonder:
What is buried in his brilliant soul?

I can't say I know him well
And if I did, he'd throw a fit.
I don't know whether I'll ever understand him, or my love for him.
But given the person I am, I hope he finds a way to remember me.
I would walk there and back with him, carry him if I could.

He'll stumble and fall, but I want him to know he can turn back to me.
And I'll always wonder:
Did I do enough to heal his brilliant soul?
