Play dolls with them, even dress up.
Lacy dresses and black paten shoes.

Mothers who kiss away tears, make your boo boo's disappear.
They hold you tight and send your fears out of sight.
They hug you and kiss you and help say prayers at night.
They tuck you in all snug and tight.
They whisper they love you and sweet dreams tonight.

What are all these things, I'm afraid I don't know,
For my mother was as cold as snow.
No laughing, no playing, no bed time story.
She wouldn't tuck me in cause I wasn't a boy.
No kisses, no hugs, no sweet dreams tonight.
Tuck me in, who? she hated my sight.

She was mean and cruel all through my years of school.
I moved from home and one day she was on the phone,
and I've waited so long just to hear her say
"I love you my daughter and I want you to stay."
Was this that long awaited day?

No way. I heard her say "I never loved you child
and you were only in the way I just want you to go away."

I ask God each and everyday, Why, Why Me?
Should it had been another?
Didn't I deserve the love of a . . .

Wwwwwwwwwwooooo this is heart wrenching sad. I can't comprehend a mother doing this to a child. My heart goes out to you all the way to my soul.
I have three grown children that I raised alone with out help from their father. We divorced after the youngest was born. I'm so proud of them and their own families now. They have always been my life and they still are.
I know I didn't always do right but I always gave them luv.
I don't know how old you are but I feel for you.
If you ever need to chat then P>M> me. I'll be your seragate mom.
Big luv, huggs, healing, hope, joy, inner peace,
emy

such an unfortunate thing that no one should ever experience. family is complicated esp. when personal and dysfunctional patterns develop within. i hope u can break them for your future generation's sake. what u described here doesn't fit the definition of a true mother, u dont need that kind of role model in your life. i can relate to this poem in a way...

take care
