I had to let you go, but I loved you so.

To set you free was best for me,
my life can now start,
if I don't fall apart.
You have my whole heart
and have from the start...

I did my best but it was tough,
no matter what, it was never enough.
I fought for our marriage like any wife would,
you put forth no effort like you knew you should.

Your no effort won in the end,
and I no longer could pretend.
I couldn't make you happy,
no matter how hard I tried
and all i did was sit and cried.
So, it's time to start a new,
but this time my love, it's without you.

I love you enough to let you go,
so go be happy in whatever you do
cause this time my dear, I will too.

My life's not over because you are gone,
No, it's really time that I move on.
So for us my love, this may be the end...

But, this is where. . .

Life Begins

When i said goodbye, all I could do was cry.
I had to let you go, but I loved you so.

To set you free was best for me,
my life can now start,
if I don't fall apart.
