My One
There’s worry, there’s emotion, the fear has subsided,
Effort, passion, and love, is what I’ve decided.
To go on and not say what is on my mind,
I am not only a fool in love but am true to my find.
I love you, I loved you, I have more love to give,
I say that with a straight face, you are the life I want to live.
Our paths are not certain, but our hearts and faiths are,
Love me the way you can, and we will go far.

Sometimes we do make a mistake and sometimes the distance is what mends the heart and fences.
Well written, I appreciate the gentle nature of this poem and the honesty within the verse.

| Thank you very much Jeann and Shelby. I did give it to her, and she stayed a contender, but not for long. We did work things out and are now back together. :) Happier than ever. Never knew I could write until my feelings made me do it. Thanks for the comments! |
