My heavy heart will miss her so.
No more to sound, no more to run,
On this good earth our hunting's done.

Does God provide a dog a home,
A greater wood for her to roam?
Then this last hunt will never cease.
She's off the chain, and she's at peace. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 225 [topic] => 39 [informant] => manbeast [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

Reading this brought tears to my eyes.
Our family still misses our good friend and loyal companion, Dakota.
The pup he trained will never be a replacement but she has filled a very special place in our hearts.

A warm and touching write

Peace
~Shannon

this poem makes me miss my dog Dakota.
This poem touches me and it makes me feel a little at ease,
feeling that he is now at peace where he is.

I felt this, and yes there is a special place for our dogs when they leave us.
This is beautiful and sad wrapped into one, it left me with a few tears. This month is hard on me because I lost mine and though years have passed I always miss her, they are family to us.

Hugs you
Michelle
