Array ( [sid] => 15407 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Lost [time] => 2003-04-01 06:17:01 [hometext] => This poem is about my real Father that left me when I was 8. He decided to walk into my life now...let's see if he stays. [bodytext] => Onto a bed
I threw myself
From all this pain.
I can’t last
Like this.
And if I tried,
Would I just fail?
Or prevail over the circumstances.
I won’t ever know
Nor will anyone else.
Because I am still on this bed
Crying so hard,
Because you’re dead.
You’ve been dead to me for so long.
Ever since you left me
When I was so young
Not to understand
What pain was to come
Ten years later.
Then you left me again.
And now you’re dead.
So how can I say goodbye?
Or that I love you?
How can I dismantle this pain
That lays on my heart.
So heavy?
It makes me stay
In this bed
Never to get up
Until I see you again.

What a fantastic poem. My dad never physically left me but he stopped being a aprt of my life when I was 8 so I know some of what you are feeling. It is really good to share the emotion sometimes huh?
