Array ( [sid] => 153997 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => He and I [time] => 2009-10-11 23:48:56 [hometext] => exaggeration of my feelings and a situation... but isn't that what poetry is about? meh. just general depression and pain, as well as insecurity. [bodytext] => I want him to burn and bleed for eternity
I want him to feel the pain that I have
For, if you say you want him most...
My hearts' cadence shall come to a standstill.

His name falls from your lips; do you worship him?
Each time his face is shown, my soul quavers
You see him everyday, grow closer to his heart
And the luminousity in your eyes is brighter than ever.

He speaks with confidence so, such that I will never have
I realize that you are drawn to it, and it pulls you to him
I am a broken soul because you love him
Each seam from my heart is ripped apart when you embrace each other.

The final plunge, as much as I would like to take
Is not an option to me
You keep coming back to me, begging me to stay
Though your heart wanders about with mine clinging along.

Blood red tears I cry; my heart bleeds so much for you
My pain means nothing to you, does it?
You know each of my insecurities,
But it seems that you flaunt them in my face.

He and I are polar opposites;
I am aloof, where he is direct
I am shy, where he is confident
I am a woman, where he is a man.

I know your preference, and it is not me
So why must you push like you do?
You say you want me, love me, need me...
And you run to him each time.

I can't let go of this twisted thing
Because my feelings are pure and true
I will love you til my dying day
Which just might be too soon. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 134 [topic] => 61 [informant] => Innocent_Sinner [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )
