I cry and bleed for the children.

I cry for who I used to be,
An innocent, carefree, and smiling sun in the dark.

Childhood stories are no longer fun.
They make me cringe at the sight of innocence.

Innocence is lost,
Darkness is gained
From the truth,
That’s a never-ending pain.

Childhood games are gone,
And replaced with important tasks.
Childhood games made no sense,
Today’s games are too tense.

I cry and bleed for the innocent,
I cry and bleed for the children.

I will catch the innocent children
From falling from the sun,
And into the darkness
Of the unknown.

I will take the pain,
Those innocent children will soon endure.
I will die in place of the child,
That the world has pushed too far.

I will push that pain and struggle on me,
A person who has already seen the truth,
And the sun will always shine on the innocent children,
As I hide them to keep their youth.

I will cry
I will bleed
I will hurt
I will die for the innocent child.

An excellent dream and statement of dedication to our youth. I honestly wish you or whoever you are writing about could really do this. This did provoke some thought in me.

Thanks,

Tim

It's so sad we live in a world where while the youth are our future the politicians and governments they own are determined to instill war and greed but judgement day will be here soon enough-Morgues
