The ground as cracked as my hands.
They once held a heart but he ran away to heaven
Tossing and turning sometimes I hear his voice
His wings sliding across my hips
..the taste of his blood,
Embracing. my lips.

Against the stars he's lying on his stomach
The moon lighting up his eyes
I'm kicking dirt. God please bleed me dry.
His sobbing, dances around my ears
as time carries on and on.

Midnight drags. Craning to see past
the light of the moon. It's only desolate.
It's shallow, it's forever.

I remember once we flew from the north to the south
And you swam through my veins and lit them on fire
I remember you grabbed my hand, and lifted me higher

And now the moon burns out,
Flowers, stare up at me from the ground
What's the use of rainbows, because without you
My whole world is only black and white

Now I'm so empty. His sobbing, it whispers
Take this knife and twist it in your stomach...'

Loss is always hard to cope with. This piece captures so much of that raw emotion, and represents the imagery very well. Beautifully executed.

You WILL love again. That's one thing that is assured. May not come as soon as you like...but it WILL come....just have patience.

I loved the entire write but this especially spoke to me. . .

"Midnight drags. Craning to see past
the light of the moon. It's only desolate.
It's shallow. It's forever."

"What's the use of rainbows, because without you
My whole world is black & white"

A beautiful rendering, amber.
May you find peace. . .

An immensely powerful write that was darkly beautiful.
