[time] => 2009-09-08 22:10:19 [hometext] => This again was inspired by Ralph but also my life right now and I am sure many others right now, just life right now [bodytext] => The other day, the boys in blue, kicked Ralph and Lacey out of behind Fred Meyers.
He was able to check in lastnight and spend one night, all the money he had.

Today he had to leave and was really hoping he could return,
he did but couldnt check in, so we sat and visited about life
all this live long day, sharing moments, the good the bad, joys and the sorrows.

I saw a flicker of worry in his eyes,
the same flicker I have seen in my own.
The same flicker I have seen in Garys
and many other peoples eyes that I know.

To a homeless person, who had a spot at night to sleep
when it is lost, they are lost, a feeling of fear and defeat.

What do I do now?
Simple question, hard question, complicated question.

Then there are the hard working folks,
going out and earning a living.
Working hard, making their way
then poof one day, it is all gone...... just gone.....

What do I do now?
Where do I go?

Suddenly a world once a friend
very much indeed seems like manys foe
a big jungle of uncertainty
a circus, a merry go round
but it isn't at all fun, more like the nightmare
without one single funny clown.

So everyone wakes up each morn,
and does the best they can.
Wanting to find their own way
offering others a helping hand,
when they can.........

Knowing the storm will pass
when the time should come.
Holding on with both hands
and hoping for a new dawn.

Yet the questions linger on
What do I do now????????

Hi Shel,

We're all treading water - some weakening, some strong. Then the strong pull themselves onto
boats and are safe and comfortable. If they'd
just lean over and give a hand to the weak now
and again. How many could be saved?

Tommy

Shelly,

This is so sad. It tears me apart about what is happening. So many people I know are in the same situation or close to it.

Seems like I chose the wrong day to read poems.... or maybe I am drawn to the sad ones, I don't know...

I may be asking the same question soon... sigh...

I hope it gets better for all soon Hun...
Hugs and gratitude...
