lost a friend to breast cancer last week
had to lay her body under a blanket of sand
she was more like a mother to me
she was the one who would always understand

my best friend lost her mother yesterday
they say it was an accident
she was also my mother
I felt every bit of pain my friend felt

I am loosing a friend of mine
our friendship is dying
its something I cant deny
we are no longer companions

Death you are taking people close to me
dont come any closer!
I already feel so empty
These people are lost forever.......

Death you are giving me a chance
to rectify what I can
to live each day as if its the last
to appreciate what I have......

I hate your gutts
But I respect your lessons
on earth we are running out of time
we should live as though now we are dying

Tragic indeed. But I like how you can be optimistic, even in the darkest depths of despair.

Death leaves us feeling defenseless, vulnerable, helpless and angry. I wonder why we have to lose more than one at a time, in regards to the people we care about? My heart and condolescences go out to you and I saw your inner strength in your writing.

Your poem touched my heart and it is my prayer that you will manage thru these difficult times.

Kye-
