Your not alone. [bodytext] => A thousands rains shall pour, yet only I am drenched,
Untold evils befall, yet only my fist is clenched,
It seems they stand unmoving, are they all just blind,
Does it happen to them too? Is it just my mind?
Perhaps I am the ignorant one, unmoving with the behold,
To them it’s deep and dark, to me, simply foolish gold.

Perhaps what we feel is evil, and only what we see is unfair,
To others is a virtue – you may look but never stare,
Do we all endure this sinister cruel with appearance oh so fair,
Just to view the others, if their damage, that they too can bare,
Does this justify cancellation, and say it’s all the same,
Is this an excuse, to hide the truth we blame?

For I was the ignorant one, but so were they and you,
We all face this darkness, no telling, constant rue,
Realise this and your never alone, no matter how heavy the pain,
Someone’s out there is heavier, different, yet all the same.

The last two lines really seal this thought. There is a profound wisdom
inside your verse without being cliché. It gives hope and inspiration to your
readers; especially those who may be a little lost in this world. Well done.

I used to think the same thing. In fact, I used to believe the whole world was made just for me and that I was Jesus. Nope, I'm not joking. Then (partly inspired by the Truman show) I believed that my life was one big television show that the whole world tuned in to watch. Fact is, I'm just a 19 year old in the middle of nowhere, somewhere near Nottingham. There are people out there with serious problems, i've had a great upbringing in comparison. Only solidarity and cooperation can truly save the world.

Good poem, very thought provoking.

-Phil
