Array ( [sid] => 152754 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Miscarriage [time] => 2009-08-31 12:27:50 [hometext] => I suffered a miscarriage a few months ago, and have yet to finish grieving. I wanted to write a poem in rememberance, but also to portray emotions of miscarriage [bodytext] => Bone hands ripping life from your warm womb,
It was meant to be Eden, but now it’s a tomb.
The pain is less psychical more in the heart,
That you and your child are so cruelly apart.
It matters nothing if older or just in the teens,
This baby was yours, a bundle of genes.
Was it your fault? Did you make a mistake?,
Just something to blame to dull this heartache.
Past eating disorder? Too much red wine,
All things you thought just simply benign.
What if they caused this? If only you’d known,
You’d have done anything to keep the baby your own.
To think of the future burns guilt in your eyes,
Your beautiful baby and cherub like cries.
But that is not a time you will know, not right now,
You will in the future you fervently vow.
This baby was just maybe not meant to be,
But it is alive and its spirit is free.
You won’t see it grow, or see it turn seven,
But you will meet them one day together in heaven.

dear poet, I can't even imagine the grief, but my heart goes out to you. This
paints sorrow in a way that breaks the heart. You've described poetically,
what I can only imagine as the most painful event in the world-- the loss of
a child. I hope it gets easier for you. Take care ~

Welcome to YPDC...
Blessed is the poet who can create art under the feelings of loss and grief.
This poem is an expression of human nature before the mystery of life.

I am truly sorry for your loss. You are heard and understood by one who has suffered the same fate. If you need to talk to someone, feel free to PM me..
Wonderful delivery of such strong emotions

Hugs
Jenni
