Words on Paper

Contributed by ravenblack_phoenix on Sunday, 30th March 2003 @ 08:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Empty words.
That is all I have been given.
From those of you who bother to claim that you care.

Broken silence.
Of misdeeds and trickling blood.
That is something we do not dare.

Lost child.
Innocent thoughts at the sights of the evil world.
Sweetest breath and a newly tainted soul.

Growing into a fractured mind.
Lost without a savior in a cage without bars.
A small tear grows to a gaping hole.

The insanity of the world,
Leaves all in a hopeless tussle.
Fighting with seeming destiny,
Resisting the confines of society,
Repressed by the lies of the word “democracy“,
A world consumed by hypocrisy.

Cursed souls!
Damn the once child, the fractured mind!
Damn the vacant words and stillness of silence!
Cursed souls of the hopeless...
We are used, and abused by the world,
And then tossed to the side,
Tattered by the lingering torment.

There is no real compromise,
Say those who call themselves wise.
There is no duel for existence,
Say those who also say, that they are not fools.
But an opinion is an opinion.
A fractured mind simply a mirror.
A reflection of the broken soul within playing across it.
And these are simply words,
Tears of the tormented and blood of the sickened,
Used as ink, on the paper that is the world.
