I see it only when alone
It comes in a long black robe
I can only say the beast is known

It is death reaching onto me
Does he now I can see
The beast of bones
He only shows his silhouette when I’m alone

Out of the black robe
He lets only one thing is shown
A long rope

He forms a noose
Not as an experienced executioner but a magicians slight of hand
He keeps the knot loose
Then motions me to come over but really it’s a demand

He thinks why waste the time
You’re mine
I refuse but I can’t move
He rushes at me

By the throat he has me
Be only holding not choking
He doesn’t want any marks left for others to see
Only the noose is to leave a mark

The Beast of Bones
Seeking me when I’m alone
Waiting for the day to pull the noose tight
To leave me swinging in the night [comments] => 1 [counter] => 161 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Voice of the Silent [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Awesome piece. I love the imagery. I can visualize it so graphically. Very creative.
