every beat, a second closer
every breath filled with anticipation
every footstep, passing time
a whole existence, waiting
water laps at her feet
words fall upon her deaf ears
she is silenced by this spell
she does not respond to their touch
her world consists of him
her mind awash with thoughts of him
her body hollow and lifeless
awaiting his touch
a look, a word, a kiss
from him would be her cure
life flows through her
when he is near
he is her drug of choice
he is the beating heart inside her
until his return
she lays lifeless
waiting, always waiting

Wow, there is a great deal of depth in this. It makes me think of many things.
Good work
