we want to do the best that we can,
in the shortest amount of time that we have,
we strive to make things right in others eye's,
family, friends,people we dont know,
we want to make things right,
pressure is put upon us,
hurry lets get it done they say,
to young, to old, whats the difference,
we push through life to be adults,
when we reach it
we wish that we were still young again,
working as hard as we can to accomplish
the things that we want,
we vote to make our lifes better,
ooops another one bit the dust,

life is hard for everyone,
we do what we can, the best way we can,
thats all we can do,
were not perfect in any way,
were only human,
we try thats all,

what do they expect of us
when times are hard
what do they expect of us
when we try to make things right
what do the expect !

Great piece. People push themselves too hard about insignificant things. You capture this idea nicely.

I have been living a complete disaster so I relate to every single word. I say to hell with what everyone expects, it is hard enough right now to keep in mind what we each expect of ourselves without getting lost in a whirlwind of confusion. Hang in there my friend, good to see you posting!

Good work!

Michelle
