In Her Eyes

Contributed by hmong_dude on Monday, 17th August 2009 @ 12:07:22 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

In her eyes I once saw the sweetest of things,

Angels descending from heaven upon golden wings,

The sweet sound of her laughter the blissfulness of her smile as the voices of heaven sings

Miracles, unexplained images of a future where church bells ring,

In her eyes I once saw the happiest of places,

Standing in a pasture of yellow tulips as the wind would caress our faces,

Embracing her in my arms just staring into the vast open spaces,

Skies filled with shooting stars something I’ve dreamed of for ages,

In her eyes I once saw the gracefulness of a world so cold,

The beauty of a new born brought into a world yet to unfold,

The beginning of a new chapter soon to be told,

The warmth of her hands meant only for me to hold,

I once saw the world in her eyes, a world of dreams where angels fly,

Only through her eyes did my life flash before my eyes…

Beautiful sentiments. There are some lovely
descriptions in this. It is truly magnifiecent when a
poem can conjure up an image of emotion in the
reader. Well done.
