[bodytext] => Looking up at the sky one night Contemplating matters in my soul I felt like an unfinished puzzle Mostly there but not quite whole When out of nowhere up in the sky A falling meteor flashed up bright And I heard someone close to me Shriek out as if with fright I looked around to investigate and to my large surprise The most beautiful girl I had ever seen Was standing there looking into my eyes I couldn't believe my luck It was love at first sight As suddenly as that shooting star appeared You came in to my life [Chorus] I cry rivers every night And bury myself deeper every day Like a shooting star you caught my eye But you weren't here to stay So I cry rivers every night And bury myself deeper every day You were my sweet breath of life And the lead in my soul's play I'm not okay [end chorus] We lived together with the amount of passion Only heard about in a love song's melody Never once did we get in a fight Everthing went perfectly There are so many things I gained from you All of which I cannot say You were the one that gave me confidence Like a bald man and a toupee Like a brand new italian suit You made me feel good about myself I used to put your pictures on my mantle But like my heart its now an empty shelf I had placed all my eggs in one basket When I gave my faith to you You even crossed your heart and promised Telling me that you would always stay true But you stink at doing what you say you will And you thought it would be a thrill To break apart all me eggs And kick me right between the legs [Chorus] I cry rivers every night And bury myself deeper every day Like a shooting star you caught my eye But you weren't here to stay So I cry rivers every night And bury myself deeper every day And the artist that you were Molded my mind like it was clay Its okay...
