I cannot provide an adequate enough answer....at least one that will appease him
but I know
I am aware
I wonders if he hears......
No one can miss this sound-
these are the sounds of WAR!
This combat waged within has left me
Exhausted
Jaded
Spent
He will say I should have known better
He will scold me for not being prepared for battle
He will reprimand me surely....
because I am ruined now
I am damaged
marred
who can banadage my wounds?
Who will nurse me to health?
What can be prescribed for this affliction?
Combat has left me exposed
vulnerable
They will return
oh yes! they will
I am almost certain
but I have no more fight left........he has fled and left me alone without refuge
Do you hear that?
they are angry
they are thirsty
they want blood......
Where are my constituents?
who will assist me?
my land is desolate
my sustenance diminishing
I can smell destruction
and danger invades my senses
Soon everyone will see the effects of this struggle
They will notice my defeat
They will see how War has ravaged my very being
War has promised to leave no remnnants
she promised......
she promised....
She has reinforced her vow
until there is no more left of me.......

(Everyone knows that the effects of war can be extremely devastating. Usually after war great efforts must be made to compensate for the vast amount of damage.

and we also know that there are different types of warfare...right?

But what happens when war occurs within an individual? How can one sustain their mental capacity?

These question along with personal affiliations were the basis of this short writing.

Truth! This really touched my heart.
I feel very badly about all of it too.
Our vetrans need support during and after the war. PTSS is a very real problem, among many other things that go on, good poem good message!

I so agree with Michelle but. . . I think I got a different vibe. The war you wage is with yourself (?)
What recompense is there? Truly? Strong, captivating write. :) elle
