Array ( [sid] => 15198 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => CREATION [time] => 2003-03-30 02:25:00 [hometext] => I wrote my version of the story of Creation in the form of ryhme for little children. If adults enjoy it, too, thats okay. [bodytext] => LONG, long, long,...
very, VERY, long ago,...
there wasn't an animal,...
a snake,... a bird,... a fish,
nor a tiny little bug to live on the earth!
There was not one person
to stand on the earth!
There was NO earth on which to stand!

LONG, long, long,...
very, VERY, long ago,...
there was not a fish to swim in an ocean! There was not an animal to drink at a river!
There was NO one to drink water
and NO water to drink!

LONG, long, long,...
very, VERY, long ago,...
There was not a potatoe
in the ground,...
nor an apple in a tree!
There was not one green thing
growing in the soil!
There wasn't anyone to taste of fruit,...
nor any fruit to TASTE!

LONG, long, long,...
very, VERY, long ago,...
There was no sun to make the daytime bright!
There was no moon nor stars
to glisten in the night!
There was no LIGHT to see a thing...
and NO ONE to love GOD!

Sooooo,...

God made LIGHT, dividing the day
from the night.
Then HE created Heaven
where EVERYTHING is just right.
Next, God made Earth
with DRY lands and WET seas,...
and He PLANTED lovely gardens
of grass, flowers, and trees.
He made the BRIGHT sun
to SHINE in the day...
and the moon and the stars,...
at NIGHT, light the way.

God FILLED His blue sky
with BIRDS to fly high...
and they built cozy nests
where they'd rest in the trees.
AND on the dry land,
He put ALL kinds of creatures,
like PONIES and COWS and PUPPIES,
and KITTIES!
Like ELEPHANTS and HOP-TOADS and WORMS and CHICKIES!
Like PIGS and SHEEP and BEARS
and BUNNIES!
Like BUTTERFLIES and BILLY-GOATS,
GREEN LIZARDS and HONEY-BEES!

When God looked at His world,...
He liked it,... thats true,...
but someting more was important to do.
He spoke to His SON
And His HOLY SPIRIT, too;...
(Three Spirits in One,...
all things they knew.)
"Let us now make MANKIND
to resemble Us."
So God touched the ground
and stirred in the DUST!
Then out of the ground a MAN was thrust!

God breathed INTO the man
the BREATH OF LIFE!...
took a rib from the man
and MADE him a wife!
It was Adam and Eve,
the first man and woman,...
and they made their first home
in the Garden of Eden,..
a beautiful place where they could walk,...
where God often came to them to talk.

God gave His blessing,
gave them RULE over earth,...
said, "Take CARE of my creatures
and this earth of GREAT worth."
Over ALL of the world,
our HOLY God stood.
He looked over it all
and saw it was GOOD!
The next day God declared
to be special and blest...
for that was the day
our good God could rest.

Now that is how our big world began;
how all living things grew to cover the land,...
from the MIND OF OUR GOD,
HIS HEART,... and HIS HAND,...

LONG, long long,...very, VERY long ago.

I hope your kids like it, Christina. I intend to illustrate it into a story or coloring book. I am notorious for my unfinished projects. Love to you and your sweet children. Great-grandma Bizzy

Thank you, Percursor, I appreciate that you consider it valuable. I hope the children will enjoy it. I'm noted for not finishing my many projects, but I intend to illustrate this one in a story or coloring book. Grandma Bizzy
