Can’t think of words to say
I know that I love you
But how do I tell you that I do

I want the words to amaze you
Take your breath away
But I don’t know what to say
What should I do?

I want you to know I love you
I really do
But I don’t know what to say
And it doesn’t help we’re a million miles away

I want to find another way
To say I love you
I want the words to amaze you

You know, that really hits home, because my girlfriend sees that I deal in all this poetry, yet wonders why I have such a hard time coalescing my thoughts into a decent love poem. What she doesn't realize is that the desire is there, but with it comes an absolute need to make the words...well, amazing, as you say. How can I commit these feelings to poetic language if I cannot form them in the most perfect way possible? This is, of course, self-defeating behavior, and the fear which must prevent many beautiful works of art from being created.

Yet, you have faced that fear, and have created a piece which does convey the power of the emotion you feel, if even in a roundabout way. For that I commend you--with eternal thanks for the inspiration you provide. Appreciatively,

-Kris-

I agree with what Kris said, if I were you I would show her this poem. And...... never never wait to tell someone you love them, just come right out and say it I love you!

Good poem
