Array ( [sid] => 151934 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => ~Sometimes I Wonder~ [time] => 2009-08-02 11:38:33 [hometext] => After reading LadyRose's 'Life Inside Me' I decided to post this... It could be the flip side to her poem. [bodytext] => Sometimes I wonder
What it would be like
To feel that stirring within me.
To feel that first kick inside,
Knowing there was that little someone
Depending on me,
Just waiting to come into this world.

Sometimes I wonder
About the joy a woman must feel
To announce to her loved one
That she had been blessed
And would be expecting their child.
How proud she must be
When she shares the good news.

Sometimes I wonder
What it would be like to feel
Another life growing inside my own,
Knowing its very existence depended on me.
To experience that beautiful nine months,
Of growing anticipation
Before feeling the pain of giving birth.

Sometimes I wonder
What it would have been like
To see my child grow from tot to teen
And all the years that went in between.
To hold her close to my heart,
To experience that bond that
Only a Mother and her child could share.

Sometimes I wonder
And it makes me so blue.
How my life would have turned out,
Had I not lost my child twenty-two years ago.
But I thank my lucky stars,
That I have people to love.
(Jeff, Nicki, Che & Celina).
...Still...
Sometimes
I
Wonder.

Beautiful piece. It stirred a great deal of emotions inside of me. I am so sorry about your loss. I am lucky to have my kids and treasure each second with them. It's amazing how writers at this site may live worlds apart and yet relate to each other like a family. I love the honesty in your writing a well.

A wonderfully written emotional poem; yet again form your heart, penetrating through our heart. Hats off to you my good friend.
Moral of this poem:
God may test His Children but never shall He abandon them.
May God bless your compassionate heart.

With lots of love and respect
FRANCO
