It’s easy to sell a wounded soul
held again though the wonder hours
the sensation of meaning
delusions most wicked

The moment deforms endlessly
never promised or two alike
plans are the result of faith
faithless and self-destructive

Memories are terrible ghosts now
future; a blind apathetic monster
love lost its fine varnish
things move as they ought to

I don’t want to be a bleeding heart
all I see are ghosts and monsters
now too soulless to have worth
faithless without the sensation of meaning.

Silence amplifies the lonely heart
old songs lead the eyes to times gone
things better left to dissolve
melancholy dead ends

It’s easy to sell a wounded soul
