will the cover of the self bring a better understanding of tomorrow?

We now swallow the sun with the belief of science,
believing their word as law.
We stammer with society trying to express the anger that’s within us all.
Something is missing; this feeling of equal opportunity is fading like the future of tomorrow.

Things do not sit right anymore, heroes gone like good television. Just fake smiles and someone else’s clothes. Time has become irrelevant, to fast to control, to empty to explain. Mans infinite wisdom has brought us lower then ever written, bread is not to far away from unaffordable to the poor.

What is it that we are looking for?

While wasting our future for the glory of now, wasting our lives just for the now? What of the future that we waste? I use to laugh when I heard them preach of the children’s future, but as I sit and watch that dream is fading away in toxic smoke and water.

I have sat in many conversations, bickering about the state of the world to myself.
Bored of the following, bored of the same old looks the same old folks.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
