Gathering clouds around it to a gold haze.
It brushed through cracks in the curtains
and silently I stared, unable to escape my own gaze.

The day soon began, the world all woke up.
The hustle of people and fast moving cars.
Coffee scenting my room, time for a cup
Maybe I will hear whispers with any luck.

The stray shafts of sunlight gathered in pools
touching the tree's branches and leaves soft and green.
The grasses bent weary filled with morning dew
Windows polished perfect in sunlight ray sheen.

The flowers danced to the sun as if in worship
I followed along and listened intently
to whispers on summer winds...............

This is really pretty. I love the first & last stanzas, especially. I must say, most times even the waiting is precious. :) elle

Hey shel,

Just breathe taking. It's almost as if I was
starring through your eyes. Very dreamy
piece.

Beautifully done my friend. The heart and ears of a poetic soul find time to listen as a busy modern life awakens.

Peace
