Array ( [sid] => 1511 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Summer of Peace [time] => 2002-07-31 16:19:34 [hometext] => A lot of you know that I'm concerned about abuse and the abused, and that I was abused myself. This poem is about the friend that pulled me through that entire situation, and, truthfully saved my life because he taught me to see reason. So this poem is for my friend Ryan... and for the things I'm sure he doesn't even know that he did for me. [bodytext] => Thank-you for being there for me
For pulling me through the horrors you couldn't see,
For being my friend when I could trust,
For loving me so much.
For healing my heart, Putting me first,
Letting me live, Breaking the curse,
For holding me close under the sky,
For wiping all those tears from my eyes.
Thank-you for that summer of peace,
I'll always hold you close in my heart, I owe you that much at least! Hi ginsdance,
It's great to have a friend that can help in times of trouble. I think of that old saying:
"Good friends are like diamonds, precious and rare". I'm glad you've got a good friend!

Always your friend,
Laurie
