There she came, like an eve of my Eden,
Those dreamy eyes, creamy cheeks, cheery lips,
my heart leaped within - like it could bear no more,
Sliding down on my knees; I whispered;
“what is that my love that you would long for,
I shall lay down my life a million times for you alone”
She turned her captivating head and side
“I yearn to have your mother’s heart” and there
she went smiling, slithering like a fairy.

Obsessed with love, blinded by her charm,
senseless to reason, I dashed to my ol’ mother,
drew a knife, pierced here gentle chest, pulled her
Bleeding, throbbing heart - sprinted back to
my ladylove.

Jumping and dancing with joy, vision blocked by empty allure,
I speeded holding the aching heart,
I slipped and fell thud like a stone; “O my dear son”
was an echo I heard, a concerned voice from the bleeding heart,
cried, “Hope you are not hurt my beloved son?”
I sat blankly, staring at my mother’s throbbing heart.

Woke up from the dream of false illusion, reality glaring on my face;
there no any love greater then mother’s love.

This poem made me cry...pierced my heart...I hope Benedetto...I...can only...hope that a Mother's Love is greater than the sins of her child. Thank you so much!

Love,
Linda
