Day has fallen into night
bitter tears fall from my cheek
hope is gone with the shattered dream
inside me a raging river flows
I long for peace
I long for love
the fragile essence of our ties broken
after the pieces start to mend
twisted tongues deceptive loss
consequence of trust and fatal bliss
you are the venom which poisons me
as you stray further away from me
the further you run from yourself
you lie even to yourself
Your soul I no longer recognize
Part of me is dead
