FathersDayPoems

Following my fathers lead
his footsteps I try to match
crying out I try to plead
his pace goes on, no way to catch
He hears me not in his lonely place
Yet to carry on I try to reach
I feel the hot tears stream down my face
He is now beyond our Keep
My father lays in hollowed ground
At night I pray for us he left
for he found peace and love abound
yet his footsteps seem far adrift
