Array ( [sid] => 150515 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Transgression [time] => 2009-06-06 07:14:07 [hometext] => A view on what we miss out on in life....its usually not what we haven't found but what we've already had and failed to act upon... [bodytext] => Our sin lies not in what we have done
But rather in what we will not do
Even leaving behind, what we’ve begun
Never knowing what, we should have knew

Not speaking the words, that should be said
To each other, in prayer or for another’s sake
Lost chances of pity, a bitter adieu
Rippling and taunting, in loud silence’s wake

Those things that you or I swore to do
Ever bargaining for, a little more time
From this day to the next, excuses renew
Errands ongoing, life’s victimless crime

What can’t you hear from the bottom of the pool
Submerged in waters of selfish immoderation
Shrouded and dampened by this watery tulle
A failing which lead to one’s own damnation

Anathema to all, for a gift that’s not given
Love dispossessed, not given a home
To be offered love, is to surely be shriven
Proffering love leaves a soul not to roam

Who or what we should love and have not
Promises broken and tasks left undone
What should’ve been said, even though fraught
Leaves a soul empty, an essence of naught

I feel you here deeply my friend.
Lovely verse and a bit sad as well.
I think we often ponder these things dont we?

Hugs you
Michelle

Steve~

This is one of my favorites
Your words flow beautifully
I love what you have said here
Too true
The things we never do,
Never think about
Although we should
Leaves a bigger mark on our souls
Bigger marks on the world
Around us

Hugs and best of my wishes to you
Kara
