Crippled

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 28th May 2009 @ 05:49:22 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Laid crumpled, on the floor,
I Just can’t take this pain no more,
It hurts too much, too much for words,
Tormentors come, they come in herds.

They pick away at flesh and bones,
Leaving me baron and alone,
I lay and wait for somebody,
To give me life, to set me free.

Nobody comes, nobody calls,
Silence will echo as I fall,
Echo so loud, my plea in vain,
So loud it rattles in my brain.

Crippled, bleeding, ready to die,
World so desolate, I cry,
Broken, battered, I do bleed,
Vultures they circle just to feed.

Showing hunger, not remorse,
Happy to feast upon my corpse,
Eating away, having their fill,
A crippled mind is easy kill.

I agree with SirCallower and can so relate to those vultures. Nice work.

Take care,
