On a cool Santa Monica night
Catching glimpse of your beautiful face
In my head, it shines so bright

Bringing myself to ecstasy
With the ocean breeze blowing through
Will feel better in an instant
Than anything I ever knew

A couple of hours go by
Just walking towards the pier
With my feelings left to guide me
And nothing left to fear

In the evening I call for you,
In hopes that you will hear
How the negative emotions of the day
Have left me empty and clear

Every night I race to your side,
Through all of the pain and strife
So I can feel the warmth of your presence
Slowly bring me back to life

I never knew a heart so kind,
It whispers in my ear
I am here, I am real
My love for you is near

Feeling your love night after night
Is a blessing in disguise
Filling my heart with the utmost love
To cut these negative ties

As I welcome upon a new day
I give it time to sink in
The moment that I see your face
Is where my day really begins. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 216 [topic] => 2 [informant] => cbarrow87 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )
