[hometext] => A poem about nature and government and big business.
[bodytext] => The world isn’t ending
It’s only pretending To kill itself off Like it always said. A life of avoidance And cautious rewarding Can cripple a man Just as fast as a car. And I’m slip slip-sliding Down the mouth of a bladderwort. There’s no use hiding And I must report You to the officials. Bureaucratically challenged Swim with the fishies It’s all the same to me. So I’m calling your bluff, Though I know you act tough Because you’re such a short man. I know that you can Be persuaded to join You wife at the loins But you only act tough. Lie back. Lighten up. And I’m slip slip-sliding Down the mouth of a bladderwort. There’s no use hiding, And I must report you To city officials who Take off your gown, And take off your crown. Now take off your frown. Your daughter’s a whore. How can I be sure? She’s lifeless and limp Like a watered-down chimp. But France slit its wrist And Europe is ***** At the monks and the Jews So how can you choose Who is right and who is wrong? And I’m slip slip-sliding Down the mouth of a pitcher And its no use hiding My wishes for nature. I worship the earth and Life as a whole, But I can’t understand Why that’s just not your goal.
