[title] => The Man With Empty Circles
[time] => 2009-05-15 22:28:32
[hometext] => There is a certain irony to the life of some famous people. Many long endlessly for true connections while many of us with true connections long for the lifestyle of a star. This is about one such rock star and the contrast between his life and mine.
[bodytext] => Standing in the sun where it once refused to shine There’s a mountain to my left And a needle to my side I stare beyond the curtains and beyond my balcony Gloomy indecision follows suit And is staring back at me The sky is a pale reminder of the never ending gray In my head I want the sunshine It won’t make it out today I hear a white noise clamoring against the my inner ear A balance beam of choices I wish my wife was near Instead she sits alone inside the darkness of her heart Caught between herself And finding peace in life apart In the sun I find sadness among the glare of hope outside The gray has finally lifted Take ground for higher tides There’s a man with empty circles looking out into the gray His hair and outer image Makes him invincible today The man with empty circles seems to have it all and more But we retract the outer casing And the man cannot ignore He has lost the ones that mattered, he has killed his dreams of love He wants what I have That I thought was not enough Now the man with empty circles roams the world without a clue Instead I roam with purpose And the man, with empty circles can too.
