slave to your bidding. Enchanted was I, deep beneath your spell
Hanging on to your every word, your every promise. Willingly I
gave myself over, sweeping away doubt, tucking in reason, and
despising the truth. I proudly wore the blinders created by your
hands. And when constantly pricked by reality, I sat at your feet as
you nursed my delusions. No longer do your visions of grandeur
tickle my ear as you whisper them to me. You would have me
consumed by your flames of passion, then turn my heart to stone.
Instead I shall become as the phoenix and be reborn from the
ashes. I'll wait for the day I'm found by that which is true, and
long to be burned by the flame which does not consume. So I say
good day and good night to you, my...unrequited love. def a poem that was written while you were upset(i'm guessing)... it's hard to let out of someone who you were attached to.. and that you see that person for who they are you're like damn wat was i thinking.... good write... Poems express how you feel with words when your voice can't manage to put together the words....
:D love it gurlll lol
