Every time you say goodbye
Sadness comes to me as pleasure
And the words start to rush out
And so I listen to myself
Lying down, thinking how
And the details are all that is left
Pumping helium I let them fly
You say I'm covered with lies
Covered with desires of love
Yet there is no more room here
Inside this heart only hope resides
And some words I memorized
No I'm not looking for advice
And yes listening to you makes me happy
In fact you all alone is enough
But yet all I hear from you
Is names of other guys you hang around
And you talk about love
Oh you talk about love all the time
About how sad you have become
How things never worked out
For you and for them other guys
And now here as I think and cry
I know no words will betray my disguise
And these sails will remain hanging down
And yet I'm tuned to my pain
Playing violins in thin air
Countless vocalists yelling from the speakers
And the sour taste of the cheapest vine
The world just as it starts to spin
And the cords get under my skin
I cry out the words trapped inside
Reaching relentlessly towards the sky
In every word every work and every love
I try
To leave you behind
