[bodytext] => A cold blanket of sweat wraps me in disdain Shallow breathes escape tight lips to hang in the stale air At times I have felt a holy hand part the night terror to touch me Grip my soul with a warmth that keeps me aware of something more Something greater than this dank life of agony A weighted hand runs soft fingers through my hair My eyes continually leaking from your sting I am only telling you, taker, that I do not need your comfort In a fragile attempt to free myself from this twisted reliance I leap forward and cling to this intimate being stepping down from eternity To embrace me ME I am small and insignificant why me? Abba, you parted the heavens and reached down to grip me with your love Can I ever be free from the hurt of loving man? And here you come, stepping down into my stale room of self-pity Tenderly stroking my hair, as though it was only you It was only you all along, and the lips open to form a praise that may never be enough But is much more than nothing Uttering to you an acceptance of hope Your love bends eternity And I am no longer small and insignificant [comments] => 0 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 75 [informant] => weepingprophet [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )
