I need to bleed
I wish to not trouble
Another soul
With all these thoughts
And all these memories, and all
These emotions, and
All these images
Inside my head

So let me bleed
From every pore
Silence, child
Pull it together now
You're not allowed to cry
Not ever
Don't let it out
Hold it in
Prove to the night
That you can keep your own

If I can't cry it
If I can't scream it
If I can't speak it
Then, let me bleed it?
I'll tell the world
With the scent of my own blood
Will you let me release it?

My body...
A record of all that I can not stand
A record of all that I can not say

Worth the memory
Worth the release
I pay every time
With the scars that are left behind
One more - there's not much difference
When I'm older
Prouder and more together
I'll be able to read
All my memories
That are written out
In a tongue that
Only I can read

Please, let me bleed?
I can not cry.
It's not allowed.
I need to hold it in,
I need to hold it back
No one must ever see me
Not even the dark
I mustn't tell a whisper
Anymore
It's just pain
More, and more
Unable to scream
It's a disease
I wish to never spread
So let me bleed...
Because I am dying

I can't.
Because of her,
I can't even bleed.

I bleed no more
No longer shall I ever
Caress my naked skin
With such a tool
To make a bloody pool.
What am I to do?
Maybe I'll just explode... [comments] => 2 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 75 [informant] => razorbladekisses [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 16 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => anguished )

wonderful job conveying the pain, fear, frustration and determination behind this piece. Very compelling... nice work.

Brilliant use of italics and bold text. An exceptional piece of poetry.
