The city's cold and empty
Where once were dreams of joy

Dim lights never make a sound
Walking in the night
What next?

Is it all out of my hands?
Mortal chaos, fatal plans?

Something draws my eyes
To the midnight sun

And there I gaze
Behind my eyes
Towards the darkness cast
And wonder whether what I see is truly me at last.

I like those lines...they seem to be way to close to reality these days!

I like this poem, it reminds me that light and dark are both a part of the world.

Where there is one, there is another, and accepting this makes you see the world in a greater perspective, and to live a happier life.

It is up to the individual to look for the light, or look for the darkness.
