The still darkness,
And I feel the soft night-time breeze blowing through the open window,
Sometimes my thoughts, although hazy from the onset of dreams
Turns to what I was and what I might of been before I met you,

Sometimes when the hands of the clock turn ticking almost like a time-bomb,
Before the hours of the dawn arrives,
Before the light of this on-rushing almost naked sun appears far upon the horizon,
Before even the hoot of an owl can be heard,
I think and the thoughts fill my mind like hatred fills and burns the delicate world on which we live.

Sometimes I think no good will ever come,
And sometimes I think that death creeps in ever closer,
Hovering, waiting, ready to pounce on the next unsuspecting soul,
Sometimes in the wee small hours when visions of plenty are tunneled, turning almost cascading and hitting my brain in unparralleled almost turbulent rhymes,
Sometimes I think how lucky we are,
How cursed we are,
How on earth do we survive,

The things that makes us,
And the sinew that binds us,
And the images ever increasing,
The fleeting thoughts of the ones who are missing,
And ones who we will never see again,
I hope we think,
And I hope we see,
That this Utopia that we seek is within our reach,
Reach out with your prehistoric claws and touch it,
Feel its weight,
Grasp it and make it yours,
No-one can take this away from you,
Make a beginning because my friends,
The end is yet to come. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 234 [topic] => 73 [informant] => Urizen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )

It is a strange place, the twilight between dreams and reality.I like how the poem goes from dark to shining bright in the end.

That's how I see it anyway.

Very inspiring!

Very good conclusion to this realistic thinker's dream before dawn.

A well constructed poem that was clear and precise in its delivery.
