Array ( [sid] => 149040 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Passion [time] => 2009-04-10 19:07:56 [hometext] => [bodytext] => It over takes you in moments,
and holds you in its thrall.
A mindless creature,
that controls all.

It makes us do stupid things,
it makes us feel more alive then we have ever known.
It is both a master,
but it is also a slave.

It quicken your breathe,
makes everything blur.
Makes you act before you can think,
and changes everything in a moment.

It is a temptress,
trying to seduce you at every turn.
Make you blind to everything around you,
to do things you would never do.

But is it so bad?
To lose yourself for a moment,
to know pure passion.
To lose yourself in another?

You always awake,
like waking from a dream.
But do you regret what has happened?
Or do you accept it as a moment you will always remember?

Passion proves your alive,
its the push you sometimes need.
To just let go,
to throw caution into the wind.

Are your its master?
Or are you its slave?
Passion is within us all ready to be released,
we just all must learn to control it. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 43 [informant] => -Sinner- [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Well, like you said in the second stanza... both :-)

Nice poem and a nice expression of thoughts on passion.
