I thought we were best friends but it seems
things are starting to change
You no longer tell me how you feel, I can tell
things between us are no longer the same
I have tried to be there for you when things
went wrong
I thought this was a true friendship, but I
guess I should have known
I love you like a sister, a mother and friend

I took am going through something like this. My best friend and I have known each other since 3rd grade but only became best friends during last summer. Throughout the school year we were excellent friends and we did a lot of things together. Now she is going more towards another friend of mine but I do not want to stop her cause I want her to be happy. Its sad to see but whatever she wants, i'll let her go if it means that she can be happy.

Friendships, like a diamond are forged through time and pressure. Right now it is the pressure that you have so eloquently described but if it can survive the stress then your diamond is likely to be formed.

Be true to yourself and let time take it's course. Best wishes for a happy ending.

this can be a really hard thing to go through. You htink you have done everything you can for someone and it seems that it is not enough. Great poem. Be strong and keep up the good work!
