you try to block it out but the pain remains the same.

you appear to be happy but the darkness dwells within,
you try to take it all away with a razor to your skin.

chorus-
you tell me
“the pain on the surface is better than that from within,
when will this all end so that my life can begin?”

you ride with the rush and the beating of your heart,
but when the blood fades, you feel as lost as at the start.

you try so hard to keep up with your disguise,
but everytime i look i see that sadness in your eyes.

(chorus) but you tell me,
"the pain on the surface is better than that from within,
when will this all end so that my life can begin?"

girl when times get hard don’t block out all the light,
stay in this world, don’t leave without a fight.

everyone gets sad at least once in their life,
let the good override the bad and put down that goddamn knife.

(chorus) but you tell me
“the pain on the surface is better than that from within,
when will this all end so that my life can begin?
i need to leave this world for all the pain to disappear,
and when it rains beside the sun my rainbow will appear.” [comments] => 3 [counter] => 208 [topic] => 34 [informant] => nic11 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )

This is really a masterpeice .
It's sad but the ending is great.
We need more writies like this 'cause there seems to be so much of the cutting etc.
Be proud of yourself 'cause it will help someone that 's lost and just needs encouraging.
Big luv, huggs, blessings,
emy
