Some believe the eyes are
The gateway
To one's soul
I can not stand shallow eyes - so cold,
So nothing...
I need a story

Most of us do
But yours is screaming to me
I can almost hear it
Please, let me in
Invite me into your mind
I'm here to listen
I'm here for you

No matter the obstacles

This is a mystery I'm aching to find out

Like a drug
And I think I'm falling in love
Sweetie, let me in

I know you have a story
And I'm dying to listen
Can I make my bed in your mind?
Will you tell me?
Will you let me figure you out?

Can I claim your heart?

And you're not even done with your story

They go deeper than most

I really like the urgent desire and yearning this poem conveys. I also exactly what you mean about the eyes. They can tell us so much.

Nice work and I enjoyed it very much.

I'm definitely feelin this...its like an outpouring of compassion it makes me (the reader) feel like you are talking directly to me and i find it slightly seductive to read...had to read it twice
