Sighhh [bodytext] => As woman looking back
our moments under the sun
years ago running through country meadows
sunflowers touching the heavens
and we were in our magical world.

Sitting on rivers edge
life in tow, little dreams
of princess and things
and our life in castles
riches of all the world
laid beneath our feet.

Those times so simple
but little girls grow up
and life didn't at first glance
bring us the princes we dreamed of.
Grown woman peering back into
child like minds and dreaming
our crystal tears away,
only to be shook abruptly
to look around and know.....
reality has a way to sting us so.

We send notes of late back and forth,
sharing our moments of magic
and tragic and the tears and laughter
that brought us here....
For moments we are back on the bank,
feet in the river and living those long ago dreams
and a summer breeze carries little girl magic away.......
Embracing the fact we are still here
and made it through it all.

Great peom indeed. I have to agree with everyone. I think that you have outdone yourself with this one. And with everyword that you wrote here you are absolutely correct.
Reality does have that abiltity to come up behind us when we least expect it and sting us right where it hurts the most. Great job my friend.

I quite enjoyed this, the best lines for me were these:

sunflowers touching the heavens

Those times so simple
but little girls grow up
and life didn't at first glance
bring us the princes we dreamed of.

to look around and know.....
reality has a way to sting us so.

For moments we are back on the bank,
feet in the river and living those long ago dreams
and a summer breeze carries little girl magic away.......
Embracing the fact we are still here
and made it through it all.

(the end was especially well written).
