Show me your love and affection.

You say you love me,
yet every day I cannot see.

What will it take?
A broken limb, a heart to break?

You only care if I'm hurt, injured, in pain,
now there's no way I can explain,
explain all the things that I feel.

It's not until I've bled,
on the brink of death,
that you turn your head,
for once, in my direction.

Do you even care about me?

Or am I just someone to use, to abuse,
to toss aside like a piece of trash when finished with?

If you really care,
you had better convince me.

I don't know how much longer I can take this.

You only care when I feel pain,
when I'm hurt and about to leave.

You're almost never there,
and you're busy when I need you most.

You know what I feel is true,
but you need to convince me about you.

I just want to know...

Am I more than just a body to use? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 218 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Sorrow_Bane [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

wow this is a powerful and sad write.
It is disturbing to a degree because of the depth of sadness in it.
I hope that this is not what is really happening to you, if it is I will say this........ if they are hurting you they do not even care that they hurt you either, it is a thrill to them and it is a huge danger to you, you need to get away from people who do these things to you. I know it is hard but there is help out there to get you out of those relationships.

If it is just writing well you had me hooked because it is very realistic.

Hugs
Michelle

It took a lot for me to write something like this. It seems a little more angry than it is sorrowful, in my opinion. I just wrote what I felt at the time. I guess you could say in a way that it is happening, but this poem may make it seem worse than it is. I guess you could say... I just need to get someone to open their eyes to the truth...
